MIL, more ways I hate you

I hate that you brought DH up to think that making money was the only activity he should do. I hate that you encouraged DH to work long hours at the expense of his wife and children. I hate that because of you our children don't really know their father because he's pursuing YOUR orders to work work work. I hate that despite how well DH does you make him feel bad because he doesn't make as much money or be promoted as fast as you think he should. I hate that the only vacations that we ever took was to see you and that disgusting man you married. I hate that you made DH feel guilty so we had to jump on an airplane whenever you had a birthday anniversary or one of your smelly relatives died. I hate that you always made a scene when we tried to spend time with MY family. I hate that you invite yourself and FIL to our house even though we'd like to be alone for a change and actually go on vacation somewhere else... WITHOUT you. I hate now that you robbed my youthful years with my husband and spent our only vacations with you. I will no longer be able to go places as a young person and do fun athletic things that only young people can do. I hate that you think that the money DH makes is yours and we should spend it on you for ridiculous luxury items when we need to save for the kids' college and other things like.. food. I hate that now DH is ill from all the stress of years of work with no vacation plus more stress during visits being guilt-tripped by you. I hate that because you guilt-tripped DH into working constantly. I have never been able to develop my own career and life outside the home having to do all the work that normally two parents do. I hate that you ridicule me for not working full-time outside the home and not understanding the reasons why I don't. I hate the way you do not appreciate all the hard work that I do the special things I do for you and FIL the loyalty I have to DH who is rarely home (and sleeping when he is) nor how great our father-less kids are. I hate the way you can still manipulate DH and the way you gloat when he ignores me and does your bidding.

Legislators visit Tinker AFB, learn about Air Force's mission

Airmen provide optometry care to deploying African troops

11/26/2007 - SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE. Germany (AFPN) -- Air compel optometry speicialists provided eye compassionate to two battalions of African military members prior to the battalions leaving on a peace keeping mission in Somalia. The aggroup was sent to provide optometry and eye compassionate because International Crisis Operations and Peace Keeping trainers reported that individual weapons qualifications and accuracy beyond 50 meters were hindered due to poor eyesight. The trainers placed a request for an eye-care team to evaluate and give glasses for the two battalions. The 52nd AMDS Optometry pip was given four duty days to build their team and interact the necessary equipment to position into the austere environment. Additionally the aggroup went in expecting to approach advance challenges due to illiteracy. "We found that only two percent of the troops couldn't construe," said Maj. McCluer said. "The reason for this displace number is because most of these troops were 16 to 24 and as their society evolved more resources were available to them. It's highly probable that the older more mature population didn't have find to proper studies as children. Nonetheless we were prepared for this and had special charts available for those troops who could not read." While the team was fortunate the literacy rate was higher than expected they did faced a language challenge as most of the troops only spoke French. "I was surprised how much my college and high educate French courses helped me out," study McCluer said. "In Paris. I cannot understand those fast talkers but in Burundi they spoke nice and slow." Their primary translator was the Burundi Division surgeon. Dr. Pamphile Nkurunziza whose name means "good news." "His real name was a mouth full so we just called him Dr. Good News and he loved it," Sergeant Gonzalez said. "He was instrumental in us seeing so many patients." To give glasses to the patients fabrication and delivery was arranged via an Army optical lab in Kuwait. "At the end of each day we coordinated with embassy staff to examine the prescriptions then e-mail them to the lab," Sergeant Gonzalez said. "We got so efficient at the whole process that by the measure we sent them the next day's worth of prescriptions the lab had already made the previous day's worth." This move was Major McCluer and Sergeant Gonzalez's second measure in Africa. Both were their respective functional leaders during a MEDFLAG mission to Ghana last year. "Both missions were highly demanding yet highly rewarding," Major McCluer said. "It feels good to do our part for the U. S. Africa Command and to do anything we can for the war on terrorism."
