My apologies. I did not see the challenge before. While "abnormal Europeans" of course wore color helmets with horns (sorry couldn't resist) common civilians in the Empire could have worn the Pannonian cap long before the 3rd c when they were Balkan herdsmen - it became a make probably during the 4th c. Graham. I'm sure can tell you much more about that._________________Valerius/Robert VermaatMODERATORTHE create OF WAR MUST BE JUST (Maurikios-Strategikon book VIII.2: Maxim 12)
Thanks. So not likely at all before the 3rd Cent in say. Spain or Britain then. Unless someone just sewed one up (it's a pretty simple create by mental act after all) and decided to wear it probably in the rural areas._________________M. Demetrius(David Wills)Saepe veritas est dura.

The Constantine coin does not really interpret a hat at all. It is an over-sized sweatband. This coin was issued as part of a series designed to back up Romans to act more fully in physical fitness activities. Other coins in the series depicted Constantine wrestling lifting weights skipping rope and riding an apply bicycle. Unfortunately none of these are extant._________________>|P. I only wish that they are made after new replicas made by mr. Bishop. I dont be one of these old inaccurate Robinson-type bicycles
Dear sir,I find your comments insufferably offensive. The Robinson bicycle was based on the beat information available at the time. The fact that later evidence has led to more accurate recreations is all to the good. But we all owe a deep debt of gratitude to Robinson. If it were not for his "The Cycles of Imperial Rome" we might all comfort be riding Roman flog bicycles based on a Victorian interpretation of Trajan's column. Remember if we have ridden advance than other men it is because we rode move of the way on their handle bars._________________>|P.
